The China National Intellectual Property Administration recently announced the award decision of the 25th China Patent Award, and Shenzhen's innovation subjects won another good performance, with a total of 81 awards, including 9 gold awards, demonstrating the hard core strength of the "City of Innovation". On June 9th, Shenzhen TV's "Shenzhen TV News" reported on this. In the report, Shenzhen TV conducted an interview with Zhang Quanwen, Executive Vice President of Shenzhen Patent Association and Chairman of ZYIP.
In an interview, Zhang Quanwen analyzed the underlying causes of the phenomenon: "Enterprise innovation in Shenzhen is very active, with over 90% of patent applications being filed by enterprises. Leading technology companies such as Huawei, Tencent, and DJI play a leading role, while emerging companies such as new energy and biomedicine also invest heavily in research and development, which is why so many good patents have been developed.
The report also stated that in recent years, Shenzhen has continuously improved its intellectual property management system, promoting the continuous enhancement of enterprises' ability to create and utilize intellectual property. In 2024, Shenzhen had 241900 patent authorizations, ranking first in the country for seven consecutive years, and 16300 PCT international patent applications, ranking first in the country for 21 consecutive years. As of the end of 2024, the number of high-value invention patents per 10000 population was 110, which is 7.9 times the national average. At the same time, Shenzhen has issued a total of 99 intellectual property securitization products with a total scale of 21.906 billion yuan. The cultivation and transformation of high-value patents have injected strong momentum into the development of the 20+8 strategic emerging industry cluster and future industries.
