The RMB standard for PCT's application for international phase fees will be implemented from July 1, 2023

According to the Memorandum of Understanding on Remittance of Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) Fees signed between the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the World Intellectual Property Organization, the China National Intellectual Property Administration collects the international phase fees for PCT application on behalf of the International Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organization according to the RMB standard published by the World Intellectual Property Organization.

1、 RMB standards implemented from July 1, 2023

According to the RMB standard of PCT application fees for the international phase published by the World Intellectual Property Organization and implemented from July 1, 2023, the China National Intellectual Property Administration will charge the fees for PCT application for the international phase according to the following standards.

PCT Application International Phase Fee Standard (Monetary Unit: RMB)

(1) International application fees collected on behalf of the International Bureau

If the standards need to be adjusted due to excessive exchange rate fluctuations or other reasons, they will be announced separately.


2、 Applicable scope

This standard applies to the international application fees for PCT applications submitted to the China National Intellectual Property Administration and received after July 1, 2023 (inclusive), and the handling fees for PCT international preliminary review requirements received after July 1, 2023 (inclusive).

In addition to the fees charged on behalf of the International Bureau, the retrieval fees and other fees charged by the China National Intellectual Property Administration remain unchanged.
