Notice on Fully Promoting Online Application for Objection Cases

In order to further improve the electronic level of trademark opposition application and promote the green development of trademark cause, the Trademark Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration will comprehensively implement online application of trademark agency opposition cases. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1、 Starting from December 1, 2023, trademark agencies handling objection business should, in principle, submit electronic applications through the trademark online service system and no longer submit paper materials.

2、 From the date of issuance of this notice to December 1st, in order to comprehensively enhance the "transition period" for online applications of trademark agency objection cases, trademark agency agencies have made various preparations. For agencies that do not have an online service system account for trademarks, please apply for registration as soon as possible.
